Scenario Location Community Jam

[ExpanseRPG Fan Community]

This year’s community event will build a shared scenario location for The Expanse RPG.

Entries can develop one or more connected parts of a colony/station:

1. Locations: Pressure-bulkhead neighbourhoods, buried mines, docks, bars, reactor annexes, abandoned habitats, shrines, abandoned works and forbidden survey sites.

2. Actors: Workers, administrators, pilots, medics, fixers, organisers, criminals, investigators and recent arrivals.

3. Corporations and organisations: Mining concerns, contractors, unions, family networks, scientific missions, criminal enterprises, political factions and public authorities.

4. Interests and tensions: Disputed claims, local politics, scarce supplies, labour conflicts, hidden surveys, failing infrastructure, missing cargo, smuggling routes, divided loyalties and dangerous discoveries.

5. Contributions should be made with a consideration of the Eros even being (fairly) recent history.

Each contribution should create something immediately useful at the table and offer connections that other writers can develop. A location needs people who use or contest it; an actor needs objectives, resources and limits; an organisation needs interests.

Together, the entries will create a scenario location: somewhere crews can find work, uncover secrets, choose sides, make enemies and discover how much human communities can be compressed before something breaks.

We really encourage the contestants to use consider using rules for organisations (Sol System book), make up custom ships (Ships of the Expanse, Crew Companion, and core rulebook), and make use of the Reputation rules, Membership rules, Relationships (chapter 14 The Expanse Transport Union Edition) and Apprehension rules (page 239 in the TUE rulebook). And don’t forget about the new Enhancement Implants rules!

The rules follow the standard OPAJ rules with regards to page count, language, font size, and copyright, in short:
A. One entry per person.
B. Each entry must have a title and named author (nick or real name).
C. One page, two sides, of gameable content including locations, NPCs, factions, story hooks, adventure seeds, etc.
D. Please reference rule supplements as relevant.
E. Label your contribution: “fan inspired content anyone can use”.
F. Comment below to give an indication of what you are writing: a one or two sentence pitch, please. This will help avoid duplication (and encourage interconnected collaboration).
