Read me: rules and guidelines

By registering and posting on these forums you consent to following rules and guidelines. The rules are subject to change and will and can be updated without notice.

1. Post on topic

This is a friendly environment for fans, players and GMs of The Expanse RPG, so posts should be in the realm of The Expanse universe (head-canon is fine), primarily related to the RPG. Please use post in the appropriate sub-forums.

2. Friendly belters

There is zero tolerance for any disrespect of members, admins and groups. No warning will be given if you don’t behave. Don’t post if you can envision anyone interpreting your post to be douchebagery.

3. Ethics and AI

We do not support the expropriation and exploitation of designers’ and artists’ visual works. We strongly recommend members to avoid posting, or include in their posts, any images made by generative AI of any kind. Posts of this kind may be removed without notice at the discretion of the moderator team.

4. Piracy and sharing

Don’t ask people to share PDFs of books and the like. Buy the products yourselves instead. This should be a no-brainer. Just don’t.

5. What about foul language?

The books and the show make use of it, so profanity can be used in group posts and comments. However if you use it to disrespect or abuse see rule #2.

6. What about the real world?

There is no need to discuss or bring real world politics and/or religion into discussions. We are in the Expanse universe here, so leave that stuff in the real world.

7. Note on spoilers

For everyone’s benefit and peace of mind (in particular gamers new to the setting), mark spoilerific posts clearly, like “HERE BE SPOILERS!1!” or some equivalent safety measure. Shit happens, but a preventative effort is expected.

8. Can I post sales here?

Posts containing ads and sales links are allowed as long as they are Expanse and predominantly RPG related, but be careful: if all you post is sales you’ll be booted without warning.
