One-Page Adventure Jam 2022!

This is year’s adventure jam over on Facebook is all about utilising the new rules in the latest book for the Expanse RPG, Beyond the Ring.

Create a fan-made planet with a ready-to-play one-page adventure.

You are encouraged to use the new rules in Beyond the Ring! However, it is not a requirement; an adventure not set in the Sol-system is sufficient.

The adventure may be written as a colony management adventure, or as a conventional adventure set on the planet. Either may deal with surveying and/or exploring a brand-new world, establishing an outpost, a conflict about mining rights, water rights, dangerous fauna, flora, pirates, and/or whatever else that sparks your imagination.

One Page Adventure Jam 2022 Information

If you are not registered on Facebook, you can submit your one page adventure as a PDF to the e-mail below. Importantly, all submissions will be shared on the Facebook GM group. The members of the GM group determine the winner in a poll at a time to be determined after the submission deadline.

As a supplement to the one page adventure we ask that submissions for this jam also include a planetary record sheet for your new planet.

Additionally, you may also include a colony record sheet, and a star system record sheet, if you want to generate colony statistics and/or the entire star system for use with the adventures.

You can download fillable colony, system, and planetary record sheets here.

When creating the planet and coming up with a suitable adventure, consider the following:

  • What is the planet like?
  • Who are the colonists?
  • What or who threatens the colony?
  • What unintelligible mysteries did the Builders leave behind?

Keep in mind things that may affect the adventure’s atmosphere and mood, The Churn, or Stunt Point expenditure. Such as weather, lighting, temperatures, flora, fauna, and primary make up of the planet, moon, moonlets, space, and/or sun(s).
