The 2025 One-Page Adventure Jam starts 1 September!

The one-page adventure jam of 2025 – “Echoes of the Builders” – runs from 1 September through 30 September. This year’s theme explores the consequences of human choices when dealing with Builder artefacts – whether in the name of research, power, survival, or profit. It is all about the hopes, risks, and conflicts that arise when searching for, finding, and extracting these antediluvian artefacts from alien locations and installations.

If you want to participate check out the details about the jam, rules, and submission here. You can also join our Facebook communities.

The Transport Union governs the expanse between gravity wells and controls the flow of ships through the gates, but across the settled worlds, Earth, Mars, and colonies, governments, corporations and the underworld plot and scheme. Every Builder discovery is a potential miracle… or a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Do your characters risk everything for a half-buried power system the size of a city? Explore an ancient material transfer network? Compete with rivals for access to a moon-sized material extraction generator in sleep mode?

Most importantly: what are they willing to do to survive and claim it?

Your adventure must be set during the Transport Union era (the 30 years between Babylon’s Ashes and Persepolis Rising novels). Whether at the dawn of this era or towards its abrupt end, you decide the moment in history.

Whether the characters work for the Transport Union, Earth, Mars, Auberon, Ilus, or another colony, corporation, or criminal element, even unknowingly (or knowingly) for Laconia, the Expanse RPG is about driving characters to act, drama, action, and moral and ethical dilemmas. What potential moral troubles and social injustices can emerge when dealing with the incomprehensible technologies left behind by the Builders? What technology is sought? What is found? At what cost is it taken? Who is the ultimate buyer?

Characters may face competition in other legitimate factions, criminal elements, or the agents of Laconia. Guns and brawn are not always the best resolution to conflict. They may have to make choices that can affect the safety of themselves, their loved one, colonies, and even whole worlds. Are the risks worth the potential gains?

For this year’s jam Green Ronin has generously provided a discount code for the Green Ronin Store, valid for the duration of the jam.

Also, one lucky participant will win an Expanse RPG PDF Bundle!
