Monday 30 September the One-page Adventure Jam of 2024 “Under Falling Skies” ended. The deadline has passed and we have four good submissions this year! One submitted via e-mail and three uploaded directly to the GM group on Facebook.

The submissions are already in the beautification process and a PDF is shortly forthcoming (no real-life obstacles so far to hinder the process), but before the release we will have a community vote over on Facebook, a live-stream (or two), and giveaways for the participants.
It is fair to say that the participation last year gave high expectations for this year, but that is not to say that we are disappointed in the lower submission numbers. Sure, it would have been amazing with 10+ submissions this year too, but we know time is a limited commodity, people have lives, jobs, families, and games to run and play. Also, this year, like two years ago, the theme was perhaps more challenging, narrower and tied to products just announced. It is nothing if not a learning opportunity.
It is clear that the one-page adventure jam drives engagement, but it is also obvious that engagement can come in different ways. The future of the one-page adventure jam is optimistic. We are already thinking of next year, and about perhaps implementing some changes. Such as increased duration of the event, more open and inspiring themes, promotion, and admin/mod team engagement, to name but a few.
But importantly, other drivers for community engagement is important and desired. Here we are open to ideas, to add to our own brainstorming. Please do not hesitate to share your ideas and suggestions here or over on Facebook.
And, not to forget: Another stretch goal unlocked! We now get a Rocinante/Corvette-class deck plans optimised for both VTT and ready-to-print for use with minis! Next up is an adventure set on Luna, and after that we get six new Ring systems!
